Trabzonspor should adopt a style of football that suits the character and spirit of Trabzon!

How? By playing an aggressive, compact team defense. If we rely solely on offensive players with superior individual skills, our opponents will figure us out early.

To achieve this, the team's physical capacity needs to be improved. Once the game plan is clear, player selection within the squad becomes easier. Of course, this is provided that the jersey is given to those who deserve it.

We need to set up our defense properly as a team. Stars like Salah, Muçi, Saviolo, Aral, and Onuachu contribute almost nothing defensively.

These players, especially older players like Salah and Onuachu, must be positioned within the tactical setup even if they aren't pressing when the opponent has the ball.

Because this isn't being done, we're presenting a disorganized image, and as a result, our weak central midfield is easily penetrated. Consequently, our defensive line can be caught one-on-one.

What should be done?
Areas need to be properly covered, and supporting players need to position themselves near the ball. Meanwhile, a significant portion of the goals we concede are due to unnecessary penalties resulting from mistakes inside the penalty area.

What is the solution?
If we can't push the defensive line further forward, we should make calmer and more controlled tackles as the opponent gets closer to our goal.

In offensive play, there's an unnecessary amount of pressure on the team, leading to impatient, hasty, and unplanned attacking attempts. Consequently, the opponent's transitions become easier.

In almost every area of the pitch, especially in attacking zones, unbelievable passing errors make it easy for the opponent to launch dangerous counter-attacks against our goal.

However, looking at Trabzonspor's roster, there are many players capable of directing the game by making clean, reliable, fast, and high-quality passes to the feet or into the running path of a teammate.

A world-class star like Salah is on the field wearing the Trabzonspor jersey; his deep runs are a separate weapon, but we are lacking in utilizing them.

If we're going to continue with Onuachu, I think we need to take advantage of his pivot striker qualities. Instead of waiting for him to drop back and receive the ball between the central midfielders, it would be better to feed him with aerial balls and have the ball delivered from the flanks into the "half-space" areas, thus utilizing the players on the wings.

This allows weaker wingers to create more shooting opportunities. Additionally, a player cutting inside creates space on the wing; when fullbacks overlap, options increase, forcing the opposing player to make more decisions.

If we organize ourselves with these and similar sets, our actions around the penalty area will be effective.

Trabzonspor is a great team, their game should be great too. Our game is easily broken down, there are shortcomings in teamwork; we have fullbacks who look like attackers but don't really translate that onto the pitch.

In attack, the fullbacks not only lack contribution, but they are also isolated in defense. When the opponent closes down the center, we completely lose control.

Even worse, we're not reacting to this. We should have plans A, B, C, D, E…

We need to play a more dynamic game. Especially against opponents who play defensively in the league, we need to be able to create various alternatives. In other words, tactical flexibility is inevitable.

The team's visible physical and mental shortcomings must be addressed as soon as possible; I believe these have had a tremendous impact on the current situation.

For this reason, our fighting spirit is almost nonexistent. We readily accept the negative turn of events, we fall apart too quickly, or there's an attitude of "we'll figure it out somehow with our stars."

The team is too tall defensively, the loose balls always go to the opponent, and there's no player who directly presses when the ball is lost. Also, most of our central midfielders are slow compared to the opponents.

The squad quality is undeniably high. But modern football doesn't win matches without running, fighting, and adhering to the right and appropriate tactical discipline. We shouldn't hesitate to give the jersey to those who deserve it, who run, and who are fit, regardless of names.
