On September 30, 2009, BordoMaviNet took the first step towards realizing its dream of "A Forest in Every Province." The campaign, announced by Çakır on behalf of the Board of Directors, transformed into a concrete project in Trabzon following discussions between İsmail Alkan and the Regional Forestry Directorate: a memorial forest in honor of the legendary captain Cemil Usta.

The goal was clear. At least a thousand saplings; 5 TL per sapling, approximately 5,000 TL in total. An area that would immediately resemble a forest with large saplings; a place by the roadside with a sign bearing the name BMN. Contributors would receive certificates of appreciation; those who donated twenty or more saplings would have their names specifically mentioned. The money was collected through provincial representatives into the accounts of Metin Külünk (İş Bankası) and Ahmet Haşim Badur (Garanti).

The list exceeded hundreds of saplings in a single day; within a few days, the pledges approached and then surpassed a thousand. With the support of Maçka Operations Manager Fazlı Karakaş and Hamsiköy Operations Chief Sadık Dural, the location was determined: a crescent-shaped slope, approximately 1500 meters above sea level, three to four kilometers before the Zigana Tunnel, at eye level for vehicles approaching from two directions. The soil would be prepared, the area fenced; the focus would be on Scots pine, with cedar, acacia, and a few walnut trees interspersed… The planting would be done by the forestry department, and BMN members would also be on site that day.

The saplings were planted around November 7, 2009. According to Badaloğlu, the first forest of a thousand trees was completed and planted; Külünkoğlu, however, mentioned approximately 1300 saplings on site. A sign was erected, and travelers passing through Zigana began to see the Cemil Usta Memorial Forest. The campaign wasn't a one-off: donations continued for the second forest; forests bearing the names of Kazım Koyuncu, Sinan Kuru, and other notable figures were next in line. Over the years, new saplings were planted to replace those that had dried up, and maintenance work was carried out; photographs shared by Atılay and İsmail Alkan showed the forest growing.

This wasn't just about planting trees. It was about leaving the name of an unforgettable captain in the soil, and the soil itself for future generations. Thank you to everyone involved.
